Faye is a filmmaker & photographer based between Los Angeles and New York. She works as a director, documentary DP, and producer. Her directing work has been featured by Maryland Film Festival, New Filmmakers NY, Vimeo Staff Picks, Boooooom.tv, The Film Shortage, and Maff.tv. Faye is on the producing team of LA based film & television production company Passage Pictures’ upcoming feature White Noise, in partnership with Netflix and A24. She previously served as VP, Development & Production for Passage Pictures and was Director of Acquisitions & Production for independent film & television distribution company FilmRise, in which she championed the release of award winning documentary and narrative films including The Miseducation of Cameron Post, The Departure, Motherland, Dayveon, and Marjorie Prime. She produced Collegetown (2015) a narrative-doc hybrid feature film illuminating the social and financial pressures that determine choices made by debt-ridden U.S. college students.
Faye served on the jury of the Bushwick Film Festival in 2019 and curates a forthcoming monthly block of film shorts for The Cosmophage film journal. Faye has also participated in the IFP Project Forum, the Hot Docs Project Forum, and the Sheffield Doc Fest project MeetMarket.
Faye is presently focused on a filmmaking practice that explores contemporary issues of social stratification, culture, and class through vérité cinematography.
