GWWC FILM SERIESCOMMERCIAL & BRANDED - DIRECTING WORK

A made-for-YouTube explainer video, and the first film in a new series from Giving What We Can aimed at raising awareness toward charitable causes. This film raised upwards of 1.7 Million dollars within one week of release.

In 1955, a World Health Organization meeting made a decision that barely registered as history — but its consequences would echo for decades. This film traces how that single, largely forgotten choice helped shape the conditions behind one of the deadliest diseases in human history, leaving up to 40 million people dead of malaria across sub-Saharan Africa. It uncovers a chapter of global health history most people have never heard of, and asks what it reveals about the fight against malaria today.
